about

Cellist Leat Sabbah and the Sakhnini Brothers (Yazeed on arabic violin and riq, Elia on oud, Adeeb on piano) fuse together their Arab and Israeli roots to create a middle-eastern-inspired instrumental version of Kari Jobe's The Blessing. The track features three readings of the blessing in English, Hebrew and Arabic. What's more, Arabic vocals wash over the soul with a soothing peace.

“The Blessing” is based around the High Priest's (Aaron) blessing, which proclaims Peace-Shalom over the people (Numbers 6:23-26). This instrumental music collaboration marks a mutual desire for a peaceful and blessed existence, in a very unpeaceful and turmoil world and region!

lyrics

May the LORD bless you and keep you

May He make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you

May He lift up his countenance upon you

And grant you peace
